Dan's presentation was followed by Corporal Jerry Nuefeld, Amarillo Police Department, who facilitated a discussion on Emergency Responder procedures related to the workshop topic. February 12, 2013, Marquette University and VTI Security Wisconsin hosted a Workplace Violence and Active Shooter Workshop at the Marquette University Alumni Memorial Union. Over 50 security professionals, including the Milwaukee County District Attorney, various law enforcement, private sector facilities and risk management professionals attended to listen to speaker, Dan Murphy M.A., CFE, CFCI. Dan is currently the Director of Corporate and Supply Chain Security Services for SuperValu. Dan has an extensive background in law enforcement, holds a BA in Criminal Justice, an MA in Public Safety Administration and is an instructor at St. Mary's University where he teaches on Workplace Violence Prevention and Response. This workshop is part of our VTI "U" continuing educational initiative to provide opportunities for our business partners and colleagues to gather, exchange information, and network in a condensed and efficient format. We were able to raise enough money to make their wish list come true and donated the remaining money collected to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org. The transaction closed on Friday, November 2, 2012. VTI Security MN participated in the Team Hope Walk on June 23, 2012 at Lake Harriet. Out of the 100 walkers, 20 of them were from VTI. The event had net proceeds of over 10,000.00 that go to benefit Huntington's Disease (HD) research. HD is a devastating, hereditary, degenerative brain disorder for which there is, at present, no effective treatment or cure. HD slowly diminishes the affected individual's ability to walk, think, talk and reason. Eventually, the person with HD becomes totally dependent upon others for his or her care. HD profoundly affects the lives of entire families - emotionally, socially and economically.

VTI Security MN has successfully deployed a large enterprise video management system upgrade with a regional insurance provider. The system includes over 100 analog and IP cameras located at 10 offices. VTI provided the exacqVision Enterprise Server Software with a combination of exacq hybrid and IP network video recorders for system monitoring and recording. The network cameras included Panasonic PTZ cameras and both Panasonic and Axis fixed cameras. VTI Security MN hosted an Exacq User's Conference Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Over twenty customers and end users of ExacqVision products assembled for a user meeting. Attendees heard directly from the product and sales representatives of Exacq on topics like feature, functionality and product roadmaps. VTI Security - Milwaukee - Updated June 29, 2009
The Milwaukee office of VTI Security began project work today for two new customers in the (college/university vertical markets) and located in the greater Milwaukee area. The combined projects will include the installation of turnstiles, access control and video surveillance. These initial projects are expected to continue into the fall of this year with the potential for additional work as required by each customer.

June 2, 2009 - VTI "U" - over 90 attended the educational seminar. Topics included: Highly Intelligent Openings, Wireless Mesh Networks - Reach the Un-Reachable, Video Storage and Analytics at the Edge and in the Camera, Know your Specs - Video Compression, Megapixel Cameras, and Pixels Per Foot, and Scalable, Video-Optimized Storage Technology.

The Minnesota office is hosting a VTI "U" educational session on Tuesday, June 2, 2009. These half day seminars are for professionals required or interested in keeping current on technology and new applications.
2009 VTI Paint-A-Thon - Updated: May 13, 2009
VTI is forming a team for the 26th annual Metro Paint-A-Thon. The Paint-A-Thon is sponsored by the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches and involves over 2,000 volunteers who paint over 100 homes in the Twin City Metropolitan area. In order to qualify for the program, homeowners must be either low income seniors or persons with disabilities.
